The most critical thing we can do, as out and strong adults, is to help make truly welcoming queer spaces and events more available – especially for the kids and families. It was so horrible and frightening growing up visibly queer, so many of us facing rejection at home, at school, having little to no social circle. I want nothing more than to surround myself with people for whom it is easier, and better. Let’s celebrate how much more welcoming our communities can be, and let’s push the envelope further.
Our next generation deserves to be supported by their people. Let’s love one another openly and keep making it better for *them*. Queers Never Die, we grow instead.
