Asking me a question like “What are you, a boy or a girl?” is like asking a snake “What are you, a biped or a quadruped?” It is simply not a quality that applies to me.
I identify with archetypes far more strongly than with any gender. My gender is poet, is storyteller, is self-confessed sinner, is cripplepunk, is princeling, is lost boy, is corvidhearted, is proud and insolent youth.
I don’t believe in shame and I don’t believe in obligation. I do believe in resistance, in moral imperative, and in relentless ferocity towards a better future. To that end, I am constantly learning and unlearning, evolving and reforming. The drive in me expresses itself through writing, art, photography, performance, activism, community, exploration, and education. I am an aspiring everything. I collect tattoos, stories, and abandoned places along the way.
My current philosophy is borrowed from Mary Shelley:
“There is love in me the likes of which you’ve never seen. There is rage in me the likes of which should never escape. If I am not satisfied in the one, I will indulge the other.”
I am disabled, neurodivergent, deaf, trans, gender defiant, nonbinary, aro/ace, revolutionary, and unapologetically queer.
Gender Identification/pronoun*: Nonbinary cataclysm. Xe/xem/xyrs/xemself ; they/them/theirs/themself.
